Organizations and members¶
An organization in N45 is a billing and licensing boundary. Each license is attached to an org, and members of the org can use the licenses assigned to them.
Creating an organization¶
When you sign up for an N45 account, a personal org is created automatically. You can create additional orgs from your account dashboard.
Inviting members¶
From the org dashboard:
- Go to Members
- Click Invite
- Enter the email and pick a role (admin / member)
- The recipient receives an email with a sign-in link
Members must accept the invite first. After an admin assigns them a license, they can authenticate with npx n45-ai login — without an active license, login won't complete.
Assigning licenses¶
| Plan | Licenses |
|---|---|
| Pro | 1 per account |
| Team | Pool — assign and unassign any time within the seat count |
| Enterprise | Pool with provisioning automation (SCIM, SSO group sync) |
For Team and Enterprise, an admin assigns licenses from the Licenses page in the org dashboard. The user receives an email when a license lands on their account.
Switching organizations¶
npx n45-ai login always logs in to your default org. If you belong to multiple orgs, the CLI asks which one to use during login.
Removing a member¶
Removing a member from an org also releases their license seat. The user can still log in with their N45 account but won't have an active license until they're re-added or assigned to another org.
